Based in Rotterdam, the international ensemble BEATRIZ is known for its captivating, high-energy performances that evoke the atmosphere of a night in Havana. Led by pianist and bandleader Laura Argudin, whose musical roots run deep through her family lineage, the group carries forward a strong Cuban musical tradition.
BEATRIZ’s repertoire ranges from traditional son montuno and chachachá to fiery Cuban Latin jazz. With the release of their debut EP Momentos in 2024 and collaborations with artists such as Philip Lassiter, Jay Kalo, and Rodolfo Argudin, the ensemble delivers swinging, summery, and dynamic music driven by rhythm and energy.
